Welcoming to the menu for Plastic Free July: Rubbish Cocktails! Don’t be fooled, they’re completely delicious and refreshing, perfect for the warmer weather.
The idea for Rubbish Cocktails came from the brand Discarded Spirits who created their own concoctions using their spirits made from discarded items such as Banana Peel. We decided that we could make some cracking Rubbish Cocktails, so we’ve jumped on the band wagon!
5 of our sites (The Black Lamb had to opt out as they’re busy smashing Wimbledon), have created their version of a Rubbish Cocktail, some using the Discarded Banana Peel Rum, some using fruit peel destined for waste and some using a mixture of both.
Each of the 5 sites are featuring their Rubbish Cocktail as their Daily Loosener for July, so come and check it out and enjoy your drink just that little bit more, knowing it’s made with less waste.
